You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
— Matthew 5:13 ESV

Roxanne Libatique is a copy editor, animal rights activist, and mental health advocate. She started blogging in 2009 but kept hopping from one blog site to another until she finally created Transcendent Light in 2018 and made it her permanent home.

She started dealing with depression and severe anxiety in 2007 and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2012.

She spends her free time volunteering, engaging in activism, traveling, reading books, watching TV series, fangirling over her favorite Youtubers, and munching vegan food.

Transcendent Light is a lifestyle blog made to document Roxanne's experiences in achieving inner peace and becoming the salt of the earth and the light of this world.

This blog covers various topics close to Roxanne's heart – spirituality, veganism, environmentalism, minimalism, and mental health – and serves as a guide to help people transition to a compassionate lifestyle.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.
— Matthew 5:14–16 ESV
