I started dealing with depression and severe anxiety in 2007 and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2012. After years of having suicidal ideation and having unhealthy coping mechanisms, I finally worked on my faith in God and decided to stay, improve my mental health and lifestyle, work on my passion, and live my life to the fullest.
I'm trying to manage my mental illness by living an intentional lifestyle; I started meditating, practicing mindfulness and gratitude, doing yoga, exercising, and eating healthy vegan food (although I sometimes drown myself in vegan sweets whenever I have cravings).
Living an intentional lifestyle has been working for me so far, but we are all in different situations so if you think you need professional help, please don't hesitate to do so. Professional help is always recommended, especially to those who are still undiagnosed.
